How We Measure Reliability

Each station's 30-day reliability score blends three signals: automated availability checks (weighted 1×), driver-reported charging outcomes (weighted 2×, because a real successful or failed charge is a stronger signal than a status ping) and, as a separate labeled source, recent Google Maps reviews that do or don't mention a broken or blocked charger (weighted 1×; we use them only as a signal and never show review text). A network, state, or city score is the average across its scored stations. A station receives a score only after 10 or more reports in the last 30 days; below that we show the raw dated count of driver reports instead, so brand-new or rarely-used locations don't skew the rankings. See our full methodology and data sources.
