Submit a Data Correction
Help Us Improve
ChargingNear.me relies on accurate data to help EV drivers find chargers. If you've found an error — a station that's closed, incorrect pricing, wrong connector types, or missing information — we want to know. All corrections are reviewed and processed within 48 hours.
What You Can Report
- Station closed or removed: The station has been permanently decommissioned.
- Incorrect location: The map pin or address is wrong.
- Wrong connector types: The listed connectors don't match what's actually installed.
- Pricing changes: The listed pricing doesn't match the current rates.
- Hours or access changes: The station has new hours or access restrictions.
- Missing station: A public station exists but isn't in our directory.
- Other data errors: Network name, number of ports, power output, etc.
How to Submit a Correction
Email your correction to hello@chargingnear.me with:
- The station name and address (or link to the station page on ChargingNear.me)
- What information is incorrect
- The correct information (if known)
- Any supporting evidence (photos, screenshots, network app data)
We review all corrections within 48 hours. If the correction can be verified against our data sources, we update the listing immediately. Corrections that affect the upstream NREL database are also forwarded to the Department of Energy.
Report Directly to NREL
Since our primary data source is the US Department of Energy's NREL database, you can also report corrections directly to them. This ensures the correction propagates to all platforms that use NREL data:
NREL Alternative Fuel Station Locator — use the "Report a Problem" feature on any station page.
