Who can charge here
All 8 stalls use the NACS connector, also known as SAE J3400. Any Tesla plugs in directly. So does any other car with a native NACS port. Tesla's support page says plainly that NACS-equipped vehicles do not need an adapter.
Cars with a CCS1 port can also charge here, but they need an NACS DC adapter. Tesla says that adapter must come from Tesla or from your vehicle's manufacturer. Third-party adapters are not allowed. This site lists no dual-cable Magic Dock stalls, so bring your own approved adapter. Do not count on one being on the post.
Non-Tesla drivers start a session in the Tesla app:
- Install the Tesla app and create a Tesla Account.
- Tap "Charge Your EV" (or "Charge Your Other EV" if you also own a Tesla).
- Add your vehicle details. The app then shows which sites work with your car.
- Add a payment method.
- Pick the stall number shown on the base of the cable, then plug in.
Access is rolling out brand by brand. Check the app for your make before you drive over. For a full walk-through of adapters and app setup, read our guide to using a NACS adapter at a Tesla Supercharger.
How fast it charges
This is a V4 site with a listed peak of 500 kW. That puts it at the top of the DC fast charging class. The U.S. Department of Energy's Alternative Fuels Data Center (AFDC) describes DC fast charging at power outputs up to 500 kW. It puts the typical gain at roughly 100 to 200+ miles of range per 30 minutes. Some sessions take less than 20 minutes. For scale, the AFDC lists Level 2 charging at roughly 25 miles of range per hour.
Those figures are approximate. Your car sets the real pace. The AFDC notes that charging power varies by vehicle and battery state of charge. Few cars on the road today can pull anywhere near 500 kW. Most will charge at their own peak and slow down as the battery fills.
The fastest part of any session is usually the lower half of the battery. Arrive low and leave around 80% for the best time per mile added. To see how Level 1, Level 2 and DC fast charging compare, read EV charging levels explained.
Getting there
The Somerset Hills Shopping Center sits on Washington Valley Road in Bedminster. A real estate trade report on a new lease at 75 Washington Valley Rd places the center off Route 202/206 and Interstate 287. The center has a mix of retail, dining and service businesses, so there is something to do while you charge.
That location makes the site a useful stop for drivers on I-287. It also serves local drivers on Route 202/206. Search "Bedminster Supercharger" or "Somerset Hills Shopping Center" in the Tesla app or your car's navigation to route straight to the stalls.
What it costs
Tesla does not post one fixed price for the site. Superchargers are pay-per-use. The current per-kWh price appears in the Tesla app, and Tesla drivers also see it on the car screen, before you plug in.
A few rules from Tesla's support page are worth knowing:
- Your rate is locked when you plug in. It will not change mid-session.
- Some sites have on-peak and off-peak rates, so the time of day can change your price.
- Non-Tesla pricing can differ from Tesla-owner pricing. Tesla offers an optional monthly Supercharging Membership that gives other EVs Tesla-owner pricing at select sites.
- Congestion fees may apply when a site is busy. Turn on app notifications to get alerts.
- The app places a temporary hold on your payment method when charging starts.
We do not list a price here because Tesla's rates change. Check the app for the live number. For a broader look at what public charging costs, read our guide to public EV charging cost.

Tips
- Non-Tesla drivers: pack your adapter. This site lists no Magic Dock stalls. A CCS1 car needs a Tesla- or automaker-supplied NACS DC adapter.
- Set up the app at home. Add your car and payment method before you arrive. The session will start faster, and the app will confirm your car works here.
- Arrive low, leave near 80%. Charging slows as the battery fills. Unplugging around 80% saves time and frees the stall for the next driver.
- Watch the time of day. Some Superchargers charge more at peak hours. Check the price in the app before you plug in.
- Use the accessible stall only if you need it. The site has 1 accessible stall. Leave it open for drivers who need the extra space.
